Some Poppy Songs I Think You Ought to Hear
I love the internet. Seriously, the internet makes me happy. It's incredible to run across something by accident that both made me gloriously happy and slightly sad at the same time.
A long time ago, in a state far, far away…
It is a period of Tia Marie's high school years. Rebel skater boys decided to form a ska band, the lead singer was Tia Marie's first real crush. Magic Dave was quite handsome, played guitar, had a singing voice to melt the heart of any teenage girl in the rural area and an odd sense of humour.
Imagine if you will Tia behaving like Knives Chau when she heard "Launchpad McQuack" for the first time…Yeah I was one of those fangirls, now that I'm much older I can stand to admit to these freakishly girly behaviours of mine.
I could listen to Dave sing for hours on end and he wasn't bad on the eyes either. I think you guys should totally buy this Album, it has a lot of sentimental value to me. Not only does it bring back some of the weirder memories of my teenage years, but I get to hear Dave's voice again. Dave's singing is going to live on forever (hopefully) but sadly he did not. Dave's life was taken away from him far to early.
If you like ska music then you should click through the clip above and go buy that album. Do it now. You know you want to. You'll make Tia happy and the Distorted Penguins happy too.
